I’m Kenny Butler, founder of AgeZing Physiotherapy and Movement. Originally from the island of Newfoundland, Canada, I’ve made the UK my home for over 25 years and now live in St Albans with my wife, our two university-aged children who come and go, and Lola, our energetic dog.
With more than 30 years of experience as a physiotherapist and physical activity specialist, I’ve worked across Canada, the US, and the UK. My career has focused on helping individuals recover from injury and return to sport, work, and everyday life, as well as partnering with organisations to improve health and wellbeing on a larger scale.
I’m passionate about redefining how we think about ageing. Through AgeZing, I bring together decades of clinical expertise to support people living with long-term health conditions or injuries—empowering them to thrive through movement.
Outside of work, I’m a keen gardener, a lover of live music, and enjoy playing 5-a-side football. I’m also a lifelong Manchester United fan (ever hopeful for better days!).
I like to get to know people, their unique needs and goals.
Using a combination of manual therapy, massage, movement and exercise to help reduce pain and improve function. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan to help you recover as quickly and safely as possible.
As Head of Health for ukactive for the last decade, I worked strategically with the government and NHS linking the fitness and leisure sector to healthcare gaining valuable expertise in physical activity strategy and health policy.
I have a passion for active ageing. I'm determined to change the muddled view of ageing.
My mission is not only to empower people to manage pain and injury effectively, but also promote health, independence and longevity through tailored physiotherapy and movement.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health & Care Professions Council offering the highest standard of care. I am also a member of AGILE, the Professional Network for Physiotherapists working with Older People.
